Located in southwest China, Chongqing is an economic, financial, scientific and innovation, shipping and commercial logistics center in the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. It is also a national logistics hub city, an important strategic supporting area in China’s Western Development, an important joint point of the "Belt and Road Initiative" and the Yangtze River Economic Belt, an open highland in hinterland, and a wonderful place with stunning scenery.

Haier Road and Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway are located on the north side of the site, providing convenient transportation. Looking to the west side of the site, visitors' sight can extend to the Grand Buddha Temple Yangtze River Bridge and Cuntan Yangtze River Bridge, enjoying a long depth of space and good visual experience. The surrounding terrain presents large height difference, and there are several main roads.

The project is situated in Chongqing Cuntan International New Town, with a planned area of about 6 square kilometers. It aims to drive the development of surrounding areas simultaneously with the overall construction of the core area of Cuntan International Cruise Home Port. It coordinates with Jiguanshi Greeting Peninsula located in the Nanan District and pays attention to staggered development to give play to the advantages of Cuntan Cruise Home Port and jointly build a greeting portal on both sides of the Yangtze River. The project adopts a contrasting visual impact and the concept of cruise ship connecting with the Yangtze River.

Due to the location and topographic conditions, embedding the building into the mountain terrain is an appropriate choice, this allows the exhibition center to become a part of nature, and the topography naturally extends above the roof. As one approaches the building, the sculptural landscape on the land on one side is gradually enlarged and revealed. Viewing from the water side, the building's unique and open facade looks like a lighthouse welcoming visitors from afar, with its reflection sparkling on the water surface.
